The Business 

My self imposed extended exile from art was not disillusion with the process but being unconvinced that I had any sensible contribution to make. Art only works from the inside out, if there is nothing to say there is nothing to see. The shape, the colour, or the event is there to express that message.

Typically bad art is often the reverse, the exercise of style over content and transitory and vacuous for that reason. I am not inclined to make any statement or even comment about this first series ‘Heads’, other than naming them, if I could do that there would be little point in making them.
